They go good with sambar or Mor kuzhambu. <br>There are 2 ways to cook the paruppu usili.. 1. The grind dal paste can be steamed cooked in idli plate and them crumbled. 2. In a pan add some oil, and keep frying it for sometime , to crumble the dal. I have shown the second method in this video.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cuisine: Indian                <\/li><li>Course: Side dish\/Lunch              <\/li><li>Prep  time:40mins         <\/li><li>Cook time: 30mins          <\/li><li>Serves: 3 Persons.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Chana dal and toor dal &#8211; 1\/4 cup each. <\/li><li>Beans chooped &#8211; 2 cups <\/li><li>Dry red chillies- 5 <\/li><li>Salt to taste <\/li><li>Hing <\/li><li>Oil<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I steamed beans in instant pot with high pressure and 0min timing. <\/li><li>Do a quick release and open the lid and take the beans. <\/li><li>Alternatively, add the beans in a pan and close and cook for 15mins on medium flame by sprinkling some water. <\/li><li>Soak both the dals for 30mins in hot water. <\/li><li>Grind them to a coarse paste by adding dry red chillies , salt and hing. <\/li><li>In a pan add some oil and mustard and allow them to splutter. <\/li><li>Add the grind dal in a pan and keep frying it until the dal crumbles. <\/li><li>Once dal crumbles add the cooked beans and mix them well. <\/li><li>Fry for 5mins on medium flame.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong> Do not add water while grinding dal.
