In Tamil Nadu they tell it is as Kadamba sadam.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cuisine: South Indian                    <\/li><li>Course: Lunch                     <\/li><li>Prep time:15mins <\/li><li>Cook time: 30mins                          <\/li><li>Serves: 5 Persons.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tamarind &#8211; small gooseberry size( soak and extract juice) <\/li><li>Rice &#8211; 3\/4th cup <\/li><li>Toor Dal &#8211; 1\/2 cup <\/li><li>Water &#8211; 3 cups <\/li><li>Turmeric &#8211; 1\/4 tsp <\/li><li>Salt to taste <\/li><li>Hing <\/li><li>Mixed Vegetables- 2 cup chopped ( carrot,beans, peas, White pumpkin, Potato) <\/li><li>Small Onion &#8211; 10 to 12 chopped. <\/li><li>Curry Leaves &#8211; few <\/li><li>Coriander leaves &#8211; few <\/li><li>Peanut &#8211; 1\/2 cup <\/li><li><strong>For Bisibelabath Spice Powder:<\/strong> <\/li><li>Coriander seeds &#8211; 2 tbsp <\/li><li>Urad dal &#8211; 2 tsp <\/li><li>Chana dal &#8211; 2tsp <\/li><li>Red chillies &#8211; 8 <\/li><li>Dry coconut &#8211; 2tbsp <\/li><li>Fenugreek seeds &#8211; 1\/4tsp <\/li><li>Cardamom &#8211; 1 <\/li><li>whole Cloves &#8211; 4 pieces. <\/li><li><strong>For tempering:<\/strong> Ghee &#8211; 1 tsp Mustard &#8211; 1 tsp Cashews &#8211; 10 Cumin &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dry roast the Bisibelabath spice powder ingredients except dry coconut in a pan. <\/li><li>Grind it powder by adding dry coconut. <\/li><li>I used fresh coconut as i dint have dry coconut. <\/li><li>In a pressure cooker add some oil and curry leaves. <\/li><li>Add onion and saute till soft. <\/li><li>Now add all the chopped vegetables and mix well. <\/li><li>Add tamarind extract and turmeric, salt &amp; hing. <\/li><li>Mix them well and allow to boil for atleast 10mins in medium flame. <\/li><li>Wash rice &amp; dal and add 3 cups of water. <\/li><li>Add fresh bisibelabath powder 4 tbsp and mix well. <\/li><li>Close the lid and pressure cook for 4 whistles on medium flame. <\/li><li>In a tadka pan add temper items. Keep them aside. <\/li><li>Once done open the lid and add coriander leaves. <\/li><li>Also add tadka and mix well. <\/li><li>Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix. <\/li><li>Serve hot with appalam or potato. <\/li><li>Top of with ghee when u serve.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuisine: South Indian Course: Lunch Prep time:15mins Cook time: 30mins Serves: 5 Persons.
