It is so simple and can be served with upma, dosa or idly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cuisine: Indian<\/li><li>Course: Chutney<\/li><li>Prep time: 30mins<\/li><li>Cook time: 10mins<\/li><li>Serves: 3 Persons.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kadalai paruppu &#8211; 3 tbsp<\/li><li>Green chillies &#8211; 5<\/li><li>Coconut &#8211; 1\/2 cup<\/li><li>Tamarind a piece<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>Hing<\/li><li>Oil &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li><li>Mustard seed &#8211; 1tsp<\/li><li>Urad dal &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dry roast chanadal\/Kadalai paruppu until it turns golden brown. Soak them for 30mins with a piece a tamarind in hot water.<\/li><li>In a blender add coconut, green chillies, soaked chana dal, tamarind, salt and hing.<\/li><li>Add little water and grind them to smooth paste. <\/li><li>Transfer to bowl and in another pan add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal.<\/li><li>Add the tadka to the chutney and serve with idly or dosa or upma.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My mom when preparing coconut chutney will not add fried gram or Pottukadalai instead add kadalai paruppu.
