Channa masala is famous and originated from Punjab or North India. A very common gravy that can be found in all Indian Restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cuisine: Indian<\/li><li>Course: gravy<\/li><li>Prep time: 8hrs soak time + 10mins<\/li><li>Cook time: 20mins<\/li><li>Serves: 4 persons.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Oil- 3 tbsp<\/li><li>Bay leaf- 1<\/li><li>Cumin &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li><li>Onion- 1 cup<\/li><li>Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp<\/li><li>Tomatoes- 2 made to puree<\/li><li>Turmeric powder- 1\/4 tsp<\/li><li>Red chilli powder- 2 tsp<\/li><li>Channa masala- 2 tbsp<\/li><li>Salt as required.<\/li><li>Chickpeas- 2 cups<\/li><li>Water- 2 cups.<\/li><li>Kasuri methi few.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pre soak chickpeas for 8hrs or overnight and set aside.<\/li><li>Turn on saute mode in instant pot with medium temperature.<\/li><li>Add oil and once oil is hot add bay leaf, cumin seeds and fry for a min.<\/li><li>Add chopped onions and cook until they are soft.<\/li><li>Add ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smells goes.&#8217;<\/li><li>Add the tomato puree, turmeric, red chilli powder, channa masala and salt. Mix them well.<\/li><li>Add the pre soaked chickpeas and water.<\/li><li>Add kasuri methi and close the lod. <\/li><li>Cancel saute mode and turn on pressure cook mode and set timer for 10mins on high pressure.<\/li><li>After natural pressure release open the lid and mix well.
